What Is Proposition 65?

Proposition 65 (formally the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986) is a California law requiring businesses to warn consumers if a product may expose them to any of the 900+ chemicals the state identifies as potentially causing cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm — even at very low levels.

Why You Might See a Warning

Some of our hemp- and cannabis-derived products — including oils, gummies, topicals, and beverages — may contain trace levels of naturally occurring compounds associated in hemp or other botanical ingredients that appear on the Proposition 65 list.

These compounds occur naturally in hemp and other botanical ingredients and are not added intentionally.

All of our products are rigorously tested by third-party, ISO-certified laboratories to confirm purity, potency, and safety. The Proposition 65 notice is provided out of legal compliance and transparency, not because we believe our products are unsafe.

What the Warning Means for You

A Proposition 65 warning does not mean that Aspen Green or BOLO products will cause harm or that they exceed safety standards. It simply indicates that trace levels of certain naturally occurring compounds may be present, as required by California law.
